Question to the Ministry of Justice:
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what estimate he has made of the number of prison staff who had to (a) take leave and (b) leave work as a result of being assaulted in each of the last five years.
This question was answered on 25th January 2023
HMPPS does not hold data centrally of prison staff absent as a result of total assaults, or staff who have left due to an assault within the last 5 years.
