Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what estimate the Government has made of the potential savings to the public purse of outsourcing the work currently carried out by civilian enforcement officers.

Contracting out all Warrant of Arrest work has the potential to deliver savings in resource of over £18m over the life of the contract (5 years).
