Prisons: Repairs and Maintenance

Question to the Ministry of Justice:
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, pursuant to the Answer of 31 January 2018 to Question 125140, whether individual prison governors will be empowered to bring prison maintenance back in house.
This question was answered on 12th February 2018
Our immediate priority is to stabilise and improve service delivery under the existing arrangements. As per the answer to 125140, we recently announced the creation of a new government-owned facilities management company that will take over the delivery of the prison Facilities Management services previously provided by Carillion.
