Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what the timetable is for starting his Department's call for evidence on tax changes and single-use plastic waste.

At Autumn Budget, the government announced a call for evidence on how changes to the tax system or charges could cut down on the use of single-use plastics.

The call for evidence will be launched shortly. The government will outline how it plans to proceed once we have analysed the responses to this call for evidence.
