Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, pursuant to the Answer of 3 February 2022 to Question 114659 on Ministry of Defence: Assets, what his timescale is for retiring the Chinook M4 capability.
This question was answered on 28th February 2022
There are now no Mk4 aircraft remaining in the current Chinook fleet. The Chinook fleet consists of Chinook Mk5, Mk6 and Mk6a aircraft. Some of the Chinook Mk6a aircraft were previously Mk4 prior to their upgrade.
