Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, how many midwives left employment in the NHS in England on account of reaching retirement age in each of the last three years.

NHS Digital publishes workforce statistics and the following table shows the number of midwives who have left the National Health Service since October 2014 to 2017.
