Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how many personnel have been deployed on Operation Orbital in each year since that operation began.
This question was answered on 1st March 2018
The number of UK instructors deployed on Op ORBITAL for each financial year is as follows:
Financial Year | 2015-16 | 2016-17 | 2017-18 |
Deployed Personnel | 712 | 610 | 312 |
These figures may include individual instructors deploying on multiple occasions. In addition, the Operation ORBITAL headquarters has consisted of 12-14 personnel throughout this period.
