Question to the HM Treasury:
To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, what recent discussions he has had with the Secretary of State for Education on the allocation of long-term funding for children’s services.

HM Treasury works closely with the Department for Education and Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government to support the financial sustainability of local councils, so they can continue to offer a range of vital services, including children’s services. Decisions on long-term funding for local government will be taken at the Comprehensive Spending Review.
