Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what the timetable is for the NICE appraisal of Spinraza for the treatment of spinal muscular atrophy.
This question was answered on 5th March 2018
The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence currently expects to issue final guidance on the use of nusinersen for the treatment of spinal muscular atrophy in November 2018, with a first Appraisal Committee meeting to discuss the topic scheduled for 26 June 2018.
