The Government is committed to ensuring that the consultation which follows the publication of the Green Paper in summer 2018 seeks the broadest possible range of views in order to build consensus around the reforms which are needed. Detailed plans for the consultation will be confirmed nearer the time.

Ahead of the Green Paper’s publication, the Government is working with experts, stakeholders and people using care and support services to shape the long-term reform which is needed.
