Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, pusuant to the Answer of 18 June 2026 to Question 8173, if he will publish a breakdown of expected spending across the Get Britain Working Initiative for financial years (i) 2026/7, (ii) 2027/8 and (iii) 2028/9; and, with reference to page 415 of the Central Government Supply Supplementary Estimates 2025/6, if he will publish a breakdown of which programmes saw £370m of their budgets transferred "to future years to support measures to address youth unemployment and inactivity through apprenticeships" and how much money has been transferred to which future financial years.

Get Britain Working (GBW) is a strategic objective, capturing several activities across the Department, each programme linked to GBW will report its’ spend against allocated budget. However, DWP does not report financial information in a way that consolidates all GBW related activities, over the Spending Review period (SR25).

The £370m has been allocated to the Apprenticeships Programme over the SR25 period (FY26/27 to FY28/29). Of which, £61m was allocated to FY26/27 and will add to the overall apprenticeships budget - future year allocations will be agreed through annual Departmental Business Planning exercise ahead of the financial year and published as part of Estimates process.
