A new environmental land management system will be developed in the light of the outputs of the open consultation “Health and harmony: the future for food, farming and the environment in a Green Brexit”. We will draw upon the skills knowledge and data held by our stakeholders including the classification of the English countryside encapsulated in the 159 National Character Areas in England, each with its own statements of Environmental Opportunity.

In particular we will be looking for ways of incentivising land managers to work together to secure environmental improvements at the landscape and catchment level.
