Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what plans he has to conduct future freedom of navigation operations; and if he will make a statement.

We are committed to asserting rights of freedom of navigation and overflight, as they are laid out under the high seas freedoms under Article 87 of UNCLOS.
Wherever UK ships and aircraft operate in the world, they do so in full compliance with international law and norms.
