Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what recent discussions he has had with his (a) US, (b) Australian and (c) Chinese counterparts on freedom of navigation operations.
This question was answered on 26th March 2018
The Secretary of State for Defence has regular discussions with his counterparts from the United States, Australia - as well as other allies and partners - about how we defend the Rules Based International System and counter challenges to freedom of navigation.
The UK Government continues to have regular dialogue with the Chinese on these subjects.
