Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:
To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, when he plans to introduce the Animal Welfare (Sentencing and Recognition of Sentience) Bill.

The public consultation on the draft Animal Welfare (Sentencing and Recognition of Sentience) Bill closed on 31 January 2018. We are currently considering the 9000 responses received to the consultation and will be responding shortly.
