Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what discussions her Department has had with the Home Office on the effect of the hostile environment immigration policy on the entitlement of Commonwealth migrants who have been long-term residents of the UK to social security support.

The Department has regular discussions with the Home Office in the context of ensuring that the benefit system is fair to British citizens, those who settle here and those who migrate to the UK.
