Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, if she will publish a list of all community pharmacies that have closed permanently in each year since 2010 by (a) clinical commissioning group, (b) date of closure and (c) reason for closure.

Information on temporary closures of community pharmacies is not held centrally. Information on permanent closures of community pharmacies is not held in the format requested. The NHS Business Service Authority holds information on pharmacy contracts rather than pharmacy premises. The closure of a contract does not necessarily mean that the pharmacy has closed. The reason for the change of contract is not recorded and information is not held for each clinical commissioning group.
