Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps he is taking to increase the number of school nurses.
This question was answered on 13th February 2023
It is the responsibility of local authority commissioners, working with their service provider, to determine school nurses’ numbers based upon local needs. Requirements should be underpinned by a local workforce plan and population health needs.
