Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, pursuant to the Answer of 18 January to Question 135841 on USA: Defence Equipment, what proportion of the 15 per cent of F-35b value attributed to British companies is conducted by overseas subsidiaries of UK owned or listed companies.

The figure of 15% by value of the F-35 Lightning production programme attributed to UK industry, refers to activity carried out within the UK based supply chain. It does not include activity undertaken overseas by UK owned or listed companies.
