Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what estimate he has made of the annual cost to the public purse of storing each submarine awaiting recycling at (a) Rosyth and (b) Devonport.
This question was answered on 8th May 2018
There are currently seven submarines awaiting recycling at Rosyth, with a further 13 at Devonport. The annual cost varies depending on the level of maintenance required.
