Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, to what extent their Department makes use of artificial intelligence in the implementation of its policies; and how much was spent from their Department’s budget on artificial intelligence in each of the last three years.

Artificial intelligence has the potential to transform our processes, improving the efficiency, productivity, and user experience of services. We have recently started to explore the use of automation in the implementation of policies and services but are not aware of any committed spend on artificial intelligence at this point.
