Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, in which countries which are in a state of war UK armed forces personnel are serving as support staff.
The only countries currently in a state of war are the Republic of Korea and the Democratic Peoples' Republic of Korea, albeit, the Korean Armistice Agreement, signed on July 27 1953, did bring about a cessation of conflict on the peninsula. A number of UK Armed Forces personnel are currently serving in the Republic of Korea, both within the Defence Staff in the British Embassy and filling staff officer posts within United Nations Command Korea.
