Question to the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities:
To ask the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, what assessment he has made of the adequacy of the skills and capabilities of local authorities in carrying out their planning and housing functions; and if he will make it his policy to develop an Ofsted-style body to inspect local authorities' skills and capabilities in those areas.

The Government has set out plans to establish an Office for Local Government, OfLog. Details will be announced in due course.
