Propriety and Constitution Group: Recruitment

Question to the Cabinet Office:
To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, with reference to the Answer of 16 April 2026 to Question HL15091 on Propriety and Constitution Group, whether Ministers will be consulted on (a) the recruitment campaign and (b) the final appointment.
This question was answered on 9th July 2026
If a Minister is involved in this appointment, their involvement in the recruitment campaign and final appointment will be agreed upon during the planning stage, in accordance with the Civil Service Recruitment Principles.
