Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what discussions he has had with the Home Secretary on the timetable for the introduction of the additional qualified informants for Death Certification provided for in the Coroners and Justice Act 2009.
My Rt. hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care has regular discussions with Cabinet colleagues on a range of subjects. The Government has consulted on proposals for the introduction of Medical Examiners and reforms to death certification in England and Wales, and plans to publish its response to the consultation shortly.
