Social Services: Minimum Wage

Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, pursuant to the Answer of 22 February 2018 to Question 128062, how much of the share of the £2 billion funding for (a) 2018-19 and (b) 2019-20 the Government estimates will be used to fund meeting National Minimum Wage requirements for sleep-in shifts.

As part of the grant conditions for the £2 billion provided for social care at the Spring Budget 2017, local authorities were required to report on how the money would be spent. We anticipate publishing information on 2017-18 later this year; information for subsequent years is not yet available.
