Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, if he will publish the business case for the planned digital courts reform programme redacted as necessary.

The Government is committed to maintaining a world-leading legal system and is investing over £1bn to transform our courts and tribunals to create a better, more straightforward, accessible and efficient justice system for all who use and need it.

There are no plans to publish the business case for the court reform programme. Business cases are used for internal governance purposes within HMCTS and the wider Ministry and are shared with the HM Treasury to assist with funding discussions.
