The Home Office collects and publishes information on the number of hate crime offences recorded by the police by monitored strand, including racial hate crime, in England and Wales by financial year and Police Force Area. The latest data are available here: https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/651921/prc-hate-crime-open-data.ods

Data for 2017/18 are due to be published in October 2018.

This Government is committed to tackling hate crime. The UK has a strong legislative framework and there is a cross Government approach through the Hate Crime Action Plan, due to be refreshed later this year.
