Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what recent steps his Department has taken to prevent the illegal culling of badgers.

Government takes the issue of illegal badger killing very seriously. Any evidence of unlawful activity relating to badgers or their setts is passed directly to the National Wildlife Crime Unit.
