Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what discretion local authorities have to award a Test and Trace Support Payment to ill or hospitalised people who have been unable to submit a claim by the deadline of 14 days after their period of self-isolation should have ended.
People can apply for a Test and Trace Support Payment up to 28 days after the first day of their self-isolation period. A third party such as a family member, a friend or neighbour could help a severely ill or hospitalised person complete the application.
