Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many (a) tests of pesticides and (b) other experiments were carried out on dogs in relation to legislation on plant protection products in 2016.

The Home Office has published the annual statistics of scientific procedures on living animals in Great Britain. The published figures for the numbers of dogs used in relation to legislation on plant protection products can be found at: https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/statistics-of-scientific-procedures-on-living-animals-great-britain-2016).

Data were not collected on whether these tests specifically relate to pesticides.
