Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, how much his Department has spent on countering disinformation in each of the last four years.

Information on the full range and scope of spend is not held centrally and could only be obtained at disproportionate cost. Disinformation poses a threat to UK interests across a number of fields and Russia has weaponised information to distrust the truth about Putin's illegal invasion of Ukraine.
