Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, if he will publish the guidance issued to prison governors on (a) covid-19 vaccination roll-out in prisons for eligible groups set out by JCVI and (b) covid-19 vaccine reservation lists to prevent wastage of any remaining doses following the vaccination of eligible persons.

The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) has advised that prison governors should make every effort to ensure persons in detained settings are offered vaccination in line with the offer to the wider community according to their priority group. Guidance was issued to NHS England and NHS Improvement Health and Justice Commissioners and Health and Justice healthcare providers on 22 March 2021 on next steps on uptake and supply. A copy of the letter is attached.
