Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, for what reason the Menopause Taskforce has not met since before July 2022.

Progress on the objectives of the Menopause Taskforce has continued outside of meetings.

A menopause research prioritisation exercise was run by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), as recommended by the Menopause Taskforce. The prioritisation exercise closed on 24 January 2023 and NIHR hope to issue calls for research applications within the next six months. I will meet with Carolyn Harris MP shortly as the Taskforce co-chairs, to discuss next steps.
