Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what estimate he has made of the number of businesses directly affected by Network Rail’s decision to sell its commercial property business.

Around 5,500 commercial buildings will be included in the sale. Once the commercial property business is sold, all current leases will transfer to the new buyer and all lease arrangements and protections for existing tenants will be unchanged.
