Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, whether he has made an assessment of the effect of additional housing supply on the level of (a) housing affordability and (b) home ownership; and if he will make a statement.

The Government recognises that we must build the homes our country needs so everyone can afford a place to call their own. Last year we delivered 217,000 additional homes - the highest level for all but one of the last 30 years.
