Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, if he will make it his policy to publish a victims strategy before the start of the Summer Recess.

Supporting victims of crime is a priority for the Government and we have made a commitment to publish a Victims Strategy this Summer. We want to be sure that we get the Strategy right. That’s why, to make sure that it properly addresses the needs of victims, we have engaged widely with victims, victims’ groups and criminal justice agencies as we developed the Strategy, and continue to do so as we finalise it.
