The Ministry of Defence reviews the current protocol for overseas exercises through the Defence Strategic Frameworks to deliver activity in support of Departmental Country Plans and other cross government objectives. In addition, some overseas exercises are required for UK force generation and certification purposes as well as to meet commitments to our Allies and partners. All current and planned exercises remain under continual review by the Department to ensure that the needs are balanced against the safety of our people and that of others.
