To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what discussions she has had with local authorities on monitoring levels of artificial light in (a) Merseyside and (b) the UK.

Defra has not had direct discussions with local authorities in Merseyside or elsewhere about monitoring levels of artificial light.
