Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what data he holds on the number of dwellings (a) owned or (b) managed by his Department that are deemed unfit for human habitation.

The Department holds data on which Service Family Accommodation (SFA) meet or exceed the Government's Decent Home Standard (DHS).
46,100 SFA properties (96.2%) of MOD SFA meet or exceed the DHS. Only these properties are allocated to Service Personnel and their families.
Remaining properties are held for upgrade or disposal.
