Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, whether it is his policy that guilty pleas entered online will not accrue more credit than guilty pleas not entered online.

The Sentencing Council Guideline on Reduction in Sentence for a Guilty Plea sets out the procedure for applying a discount in sentence in all appropriate cases, irrespective of whether a defendant chooses to make their plea by post, on-line or in person in court.
