To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what estimate he has made of the number of trials in the fast track in the 12 months up to and including May 2018.

The number of fast and multi-track trials in England and Wales in the 12 months up to and including March 2018, which are the latest available data, is provided in the table below. Centrally held data sources used to produce official statistics do not distinguish between multi and fast track trials (only allocations to track). They are, therefore, reported as an aggregate figure.
