As the regulator of the veterinary profession, the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons is responsible for setting the standards required to practice veterinary surgery in the UK. Official Veterinarians also work alongside meat hygiene inspectors who are accredited by awarding bodies such as the Royal Society for Public Health. These are standards that we will seek to maintain after the UK leaves the EU.
