Question to the Department for Business and Trade:

To ask the Secretary of State for Business and Trade, whether her Department is taking steps to create a trade portal for providing information and guidance to businesses on potential trade opportunities.

The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) already has an offer that supports businesses to access trade opportunities. DBT runs its Export Opportunities service via great.gov.uk. There are tens of thousands of export sales leads that businesses can pitch towards. Businesses specify their product, and where they wish to export, before they are signposted to relevant opportunities. This is supported by the advice page on great.gov.uk that helps businesses find export markets and advises them on the necessary steps to export.
