Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what steps he is taking to tackle the backlog in maintenance work on the defence estate.

Since April 2018, Ministry of Defence Top Level Budget Holders are responsible for allocating and prioritising funding, in line with the wider delegation of responsibilities over recent years. This enables them to tackle the backlog in a way that is prioritised according to need.
