Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, when his Department will publish a response to the consultation entitled Managing pavement parking published on 31 August 2020.

Local authorities already have a range of powers to help them tackle inconsiderate pavement parking, including via Traffic Regulation Orders. In addition, my Department consulted on further measures to address in 2020 and received over 15,000 responses. We have been considering all views expressed, including from those with vision impairments, and the options for managing pavement parking. We will publish the formal consultation response and announce next steps as soon as possible.
