Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what assessment he has made of the potential impact of his Department's 2020 consultation on pavement parking on the Pavement Parking Bill.

We are reviewing the outcome of the consultation and the various options for tackling pavement parking in order to ensure that local authorities have the most appropriate tools at their disposal. We will publish the formal consultation response and announce next steps as soon as possible. There is no future stage currently scheduled for the Pavement Parking Bill that was introduced into the House of Lords on 20 January 2020.
