Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what plans his Department has to issue guidance to service personnel on the use of GPS-enabled devices while on operations.

The Ministry of Defence takes the security of its personnel and establishments very seriously. Direction and guidance on personal security, including GPS-enabled device use, has been issued and highlighted to personnel in awareness campaigns and briefings over recent years, and is kept under constant review. For obvious reasons we do not comment on specific security arrangements or procedures.
