The Government response to the Taylor Report, published in February, said that “Over the coming months we will open up a dialogue with business, unions and other experts to discuss which measures best evaluate these principles. This timescale aligns with the work currently being undertaken by the Carnegie Trust in identifying measures to evaluate the quality of work. Following these discussions we will publish, by autumn 2018, a final list of measures outlining our baseline assessment of the quality of work currently in the UK economy.”

The Carnegie Trust’s report was published on 7 September. We welcome it as a valuable input to this process.
