Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:
To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, what recent representations he has received on ending the Swedish derogation.
This question was answered on 12th September 2018
The Government consulted on Pay Between Assignments, also known as Swedish Derogation contracts, earlier this year as part of the implementation of the Matthew Taylor Review of Modern Working Practices. We received 99 responses to the Agency Workers consultation, which included Pay Between Assignments, and these are being carefully considered. We will respond in due course.
